How to Apply for Financial Aid
- Obtain an application from the Financial Aid Office. Read all instructions carefully.
- Complete and mail the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in the enclosed envelope or you may apply over the internet at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ for the 2004-2005 academic year.
- Please list the Title IV code for the San Jacinto College District (003609). If the code is NOT listed, we are unable to process your request for financial aid.
- The 2004-2005 application will cover the Fall 2004 term, the Spring 2005 term, and the Summer 2005 terms.
- Allow 4-6 weeks for a response from the U.S. Department of Education. Student will receive a PINK Student Aid Report (SAR).
- Complete and submit the requested supporting documentation to the campus where you will be enrolled by the deadline date.
- Priority deadlines are May 28 for the fall and spring terms; October 29 for the spring and summer terms; and March 31 for the summer sessions.
- Students who transfer to San Jacinto College MUST submit their academic transcript(s) to the Admissions Office for an evaluation. All transfer hours must be taken into account in determining whether or not the student is in compliance with satisfactory academic progress standards.
- When the file is completed and reviewed, the student will receive a written notification of his/her eligibility. The process, depending on the time of the year, can take 4 to 6 weeks.
