Admission Requirements for Undocumented Immigrants
It is the policy of the San Jacinto College District to admit and enroll eligible undocumented immigrants. To be admitted, the student must submit the following:
- A completed application for admission
- Official secondary school record and official college or university transcript(s) if applicable. Foreign transcripts must be evaluated by a recognized credential evaluation agency and indicate completion of at least a high school diploma that is equivalent to a United States high school diploma. For a list of San Jacinto College approved evaluating services, contact the Admissions Office or the international student advisor.
- Proof of competency in English as outlined under the English Proficiency Requirements section of the Catalog.
Undocumented immigrants who are enrolling for the first time will be counseled into appropriate levels of English, mathematics and reading based upon their TASP/THEA test or approved alternate test scores.
