Get cash for college! Grants are a form of financial aid that you don’t need to pay back—that means less money that you need to pay out-of-pocket for your education. San Jacinto College has several grants available for different types of students. Explore grant opportunities and learn how to apply.

Three Ways Grants Can Help

  1. Get reduced or free tuition for your degree

Some grants award money that can completely cover or get put towards the cost of your tuition at San Jac. Browse the Career and Technical Education grants to learn more about eligible programs and other requirements.

  2. Get help covering associated program costs

Even after you account for tuition, you may have additional expenses such as child care, supplies, transportation, and more. The Perkins grant is designed to help students in need afford these expenses. A number of child care grants are also available to student-parents.

  3. Prepare for college education in high school

If you or someone you know is a local high school student, you may be interested in the TRIO Upward Bound program. This program is funded by a federal grant and works with students in neighboring high schools to prepare them for higher education.
