Rules that apply to earning credit by any form of examination appear in the Credit by Examination section of the San Jacinto College Catalog.
* AP credit differs from CLEP credit in that a student enrolls in a course in high school and receives high school credit for the work in the class. The same student must pass an Advanced Placement (national) exam at the end of the course, and obtain a minimum score to obtain college credit. CLEP examinations require no coursework. Often, Spanish credits are obtained by our students who are skilled bilinguals in that subject.
