HOUSTON – As hiring managers and job applicants know, a resume is often the first impression a company has about an applicant’s qualifications and capabilities, and the job interview is an opportunity to expand upon professional strengths. But getting the interview can be difficult to accomplish if an applicant’s resume does not stand out among others within the industry that an applicant is seeking employment. This is where the San Jacinto College career services department’s upcoming “Career Crash Course: Resume and Interviewing Workshop” can help.
The San Jacinto College career services department will host the “Career Crash Course: Resume and Interviewing Workshop” on Monday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m., at the Central, North and South Campuses. The workshop will feature current trends in resume development to help applicants get noticed in today’s job market and interviewing strategies for a number of interview scenarios. Attendees are encouraged to bring their current resumes to reference as information is presented during the workshop.
