Buffy Powell has been involved in advising and coaching cheerleading for over 20 years. An avid tennis player who also is a U.S.T.A. umpire, Powell also teaches tennis and water aerobic classes at San Jacinto College. Powell, who holds a bachelors and masters of education degree from Texas Tech University, lives in the Clear Lake area. She and husband David have three sons. Buffy Powell has received Levels I and II Coaching Certification from the National Cheerleading Association and the National Federation of Interscholastic Coaches Education Program.
