San Jac Central's Basketball Camp Is A Slam Dunk

Boys and girls ages seven through 18 are invited to take part in San Jac Central's basketball camp

Ever dream of slam dunking, jump shooting or playing defense like the pros?

Boys and girls ages seven through 18 have the chance to learn these hardwood techniques by signing up for San Jacinto College Central's summer basketball camp.

The camp is being held in two clinical sessions. The first camp is scheduled from July 21 to 25. The second is from July 28 to August 1. Both sessions are from 2 to 5 p.m. in Anders Gym, 8060 Spencer Highway, Pasadena.

There will be a Parent's Night on Friday, July 25 and Friday, August 1. During the evening, participants will play a game of basketball and there will be trophy presentations.

Campers are divided into different age groups and individual instruction is given on fundamentals. Also, team play will be the focus of the camp. A camp T-shirt and camp insurance are included.

The camp is $90 per week or $160 for both sessions.

Directing the camp is Scott Gernander, San Jac Central head basketball coach. Assisting him is Scott Horstman, assistant coach, as well as several high school and college coaches from the area.
