Men’s soccer to face Tyler for Region XIV title

HOUSTON – The San Jacinto College men’s soccer team will face Tyler Junior College at 1 p.m., on Saturday, November 1, 2008, for the Region XIV championship.

Top-seeded San Jac (13-1-2), ranked fourth in the country, earned a bye into the Region XIV championship game after Coastal Bend Community College cancelled its appearance in the tournament due to personnel issues. Tyler (14-1-2) defeated Lon Morris 5-0 in the lone semifinal match Friday afternoon.

Saturday’s championship match will be played at the soccer field on the San Jacinto College South campus located at 13735 Beamer Road in Houston.
