Procedure for Applying to CAP
STEPS:
- Complete online college admissions.
- See counselor and identify Chrysler – CAP as your program interest area. Counselor will advise and give you a form for entrance to testing.
- Entrance Exam – measures students READ, Writing, and MATH skill levels. It is not a pass or fail test. 777 is college level.
- Students with prior college will no need to test.
- CAP prospects must have skill levels of 777 by the start of the program. A sponsoring dealer signature will override a score of less than 777.
- No student may start CAP with a READ, Writing, and MATH skill level less than 766, 667, 676 without an action plan to be on track for graduation before start of their fourth semester.
- Apply to the Chrysler College Automotive Program (CAP).
To help you through the application procedures, please read the material carefully.
Applicants must understand that CAP training requires participants to alternate between college classes and a work site. Students will attend classes full time for 8 weeks and work at a dealership 40 hours per week for 8 weeks. This sequence continues for the 78 week training program.
