Grants Technical Assistance
San Jacinto College is an important, primary community resource. As part of the mission, the Continuing Education Division continually strives to build individual, community, and corporate successes by identifying, acquiring and administering solicited funds to enhance the economic viability of the region. Focuses include:
- Coalition building between community organizations, faith-based groups, and local ISDs to reach underserved populations
- Participation in community and private projects to revitalize neighborhoods and promote economic development
- Collaboration with companies and consortiums to help create new jobs, retrain current employees, and allow these entities to remain competitive
Continuing Education professionals are available to provide research, grant writing, and grant administration services to local agencies, organizations, and employers to help them remain competitive in an ever-changing economy and marketplace and in support of shared goals with community partners. Grants have been received to support company start-ups, expansion, and continuous quality improvement through employee training. Funding has also been received to support individual development through job training and educational support services as well as projects that support economic and community development efforts.
