We are looking for 25 in-coming freshman to be on full scholarships. (covers 14 hours a semester and theatre textbooks for one year).

Actors will need to audition with two one-minute monologues (may substitute one monologue for a song), and technicians will be interviewed individually by the SJCC Artistic Team.

All of our auditions are open to all students, adults and children in our community. Enrollment at the College is not required. No prepared materials necessary. Dress to move. Call 281-476-1828 for more information.

Volunteers Needed

Theatre San Jac is always looking for volunteers! Volunteers are needed to work behind the scenes with costumes, lights, sound or props. Another great way to see the production for free is to be an usher. For further information, please call 281-478-3646 or email jerry.ivins@sjcd.edu

Cast

30 male and female actors, singers, and dancers ages 12 and up are needed. All are encouraged to come out and audition for this popular event. Anyone interested in acting, but has little or no experience, or those who are seasoned professionals, should attend the auditions. This is a great opportunity for your whole family to be on stage!

When

Nov. 2 and 3 at 6 p.m. – Powell Arena Theatre. Rehearsals begin Nov. 5, and run Monday through Friday, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m..
2nd Audition – A second audition for ages 5 to 12 will be held on Nov. 19 and 20.

PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

It is time again for those mean ol' characters to try and steal Santa's Magic! Will they succeed? A fun-filled family production with Santa, Clara, elves and life-sized toys! Come join the singing, dancing, and a visit with Santa at intermission (bring your camera). A Winter wonderland of color, music and magic.

PERFORMANCE INFORMATION

Dec. 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, and 13 at 7:30 p.m. curtain;
Matinees: Dec. 7 and Dec. 14 at 2:30 p.m. curtain
Special school performance: Dec. 4 at 9 a.m., and Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. curtain
All performances take place in the Powell Arena Theatre

Cast

Looking to cast between 30 and 50 actors. Major children roles and all adult roles will be cast. Men's and women's roles available. All roles are up for auditions.

2nd audition

A second audition for boys and girls chorus (ages 6 to 15) will be held on Feb. 11 and 12. Rehearsals begin Feb. 13.

PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

Step into the enchanted world of Broadway's modern classic, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, an international sensation that has played to over 35 million people worldwide in 13 countries. The original Broadway production ran for over 13 years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped in a spell placed by an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
