Physical Education

The San Jacinto College Physical Education program is home to a community of faculty who provide professional experience in Physical Education Pedagogy, Adapted Physical Education and Physical Education Teacher Education, with a strong commitment to learners, sports and recreation, lifetime skills and teaching.

The San Jac environment is one in which there is an interactive learning approach. Our faculty take great pride in their ability to share information, engage in dialog, encourage differences of opinions and debate ideas amongst themselves and in the classroom and on the court/playing field.

Our Physical Education instructors are very approachable and what we feel is most important and of high value is our accessibility outside of the classroom. We strive to mentor our learners in formal as well as informal ways. We provide learners a cost effective way to enhance their physical and nutritional wellbeing while providing transfer credits to most if not all four year institutions. While a  physical education credit is not required at San Jac for graduation, we still offer our experience and professionalism, that is highly respected, to support the future goals of our learners looking to matriculate at a for year institution and earn a Bachelor's degree or greater.
