The CM Certification is intended for current and prospective managers, leaders and supervisors working in all fields and at all levels.

Successful completion of the CM certification is a reliable indicator that an individual possesses a level of managerial competency and professionalism to achieve high performance in the workplace.

CM Exam Prep

The Certified Manager course prepares experienced managers for the Certified Manager exam offered by the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM, www.icpm.biz). Students are instructed in three major areas of management: Planning, Organizing, and Leading and Controlling. The course consists of three online modules which are completed independently; they include PowerPoint and video presentations, quizzes and practice exams, accompanied by text. Periodic discussions and presentations are facilitated locally by a Certified Manager. Each module is followed by a 2-hour online exam. The start date is flexible, but completion is expected within 15 months.

CM certification is achieved by meeting eligibility requirements (http://www.icpm.biz/?page=eligibility) for education and experience and by successfully passing 3 CM certification exams. Applicants have a maximum of 15 months to complete all CM Program requirements.

Foundations of Management – Management Skills I

Leading and Controlling – Management Skills III

Participants who complete this course will have addressed the following: leadership concepts and styles, motivation, managing conflict, managing change, empowerment and delegation, time and stress management, management control, quality and risk management, inventory control, financial and accounting concepts.
