Prerequisites: Proof of high school diploma or GED completion. Proof of a current (negative) TB skin test and Hepatitis B vaccine. A background check is required through PreCheck (see link below) and is an additional student expense.
This is a work-based learning experience with direct client care. This course enables the student to apply the theory, skills, and concepts learned in the basic phlebotomy class in a supervised clinic or lab setting. Specific learning objectives are developed by the faculty. *Must also enroll in Phlebotomy Technician Basic.
Note: Taken after completion of Phlebotomy Technician Basic. Clinicals are usually 8-hour weekdays. Dates, times, and location determined by instructor.
