Basic Education & Literacy
The Adult Basic Literacy programs are designed for those who have not completed high school and/or those who are limited in their ability to speak and comprehend English. The primary components of our literacy programs are ESL (English as a Second Language) and GED Preparation.
English as a Second Language
If you are limited in your ability to speak, read, write, and understand English, then our English as a Second Language (ESL) courses are for you! We offer seven levels of English instruction geared to increase your English language skills for better success in the workplace, in everyday life, and in academic pursuits. Our classes are small and our staff is dedicated to providing you the instruction you need to develop the language skills necessary to work, live, and study in the United States.
GED Preparation
Our GED program was designed with two very important goals in mind -- to help students get their GED in the fastest possible time frame and to give our students the information and tools they need to achieve their post-GED career and/or academic goals. GED preparation courses range from 54 - 96 hours. For your convenience, morning, afternoon, and evening classes are available. Please refer to the CE Class Schedule for course listing and times.
