SJCC department of theatre and film is one of the most dynamic and extensive community college programs in Texas. They regularly produce graduates who are sought by universities for both their performance and technical skills. The program produces five to seven productions each season, and gives all students many opportunities to perform, design, direct, and write for their production season. The theatre faculty represents a rich and varied background of education, experience, and interests. The instructors are professionals who remain active as performers, adjudicators, and teachers on the local, state, and national arena.
