From Ranching to Industry: A Photohistory of Pasadena, Texas
San Jacinto College Central developed this photo history of greater Pasadena, Texas, for young people studying the history of the area as well as for adults who are interested in the community's past. The Project was underwritten by the TexShare Project of the Texas State Library, San Jacinto College Central and the Pasadena Historical Society in September 2000.
POMEROY COLLECTION OF PASADENA AND LOCAL HISTORY
Donated by C. David Pomeroy. This is his collection of papers and resources used to write his book Pasadena: the early years. The collection also includes personal and family records relating to local history. Materials in the Pomeroy Collection may not be checked out of the library. TEXANA AND SPECIAL COLLECTIONS
This collection includes books on Texas and local history and books by Texas authors. It also includes old and rare books, autographed books, first editions, and memorial books. Books in the Texana Collection may not be checked out of the library. Please call and make an appointment to use this collection.
PROFESSIONAL COLLECTION
A collection of current books in the field of education, focused primarily on community colleges, the Professional Collection is located on the first floor of the library in the Reference Area. Except for the books classified as Reference, books in this collection may be checked out of the library.
CRITICISM COLLECTION
The Criticism Collection is located in the Reference Area on the first floor of the library. This collection includes many reference works on literary criticism, bibliographies, and indexes, covering short stories, novels, poetry, and drama. This collection provides a starting point for students searching for literary criticism.
CAREER COLLECTION
This collection provides resources and background information on various careers and job opportunities.
