San Jacinto College South presents Fall arts schedule
HOUSTON – The visual and performing arts department at San Jacinto College South presents the 2009 Fall arts schedule.
This season promises to bring audiences a bone-chilling thriller, an exotic tale of romance and betrayal, music from across the globe, thought-provoking art exhibits and stories through the art of dance. The theater department will also host the annual Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in October, which will showcase talent from a variety of visiting colleges and universities.

His primary duties will be to assist San Jacinto College Chancellor Dr. Brenda Lang Hellyer with special projects, focusing especially on a diversity initiative, which is a concerted effort to attract and retain more African-Americans, Latinos, and people of other minority races as administrators, faculty, staff, and students at San Jacinto College.

San Jacinto College ESOL students may now apply for financial aid
Students enrolled in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses at San Jacinto College may now apply for state and federal financial assistance.
This is the first year financial aid will be made available to ESOL students. Those who are interested must first file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or a Texas Application for State Financial Aid, which can be obtained from financial aid offices at all three SJC campuses.

Kirsten Cox, who wowed fans with her basketball skills while attending San Jacinto College, will soon have a chance to shine as a contestant in the Miss Texas USA pageant, to be held in Houston in September.
Cox is a gifted athlete and no stranger to competition, yet participating in a beauty contest is something new for her, and it happened in a capricious way.
