Professional photographer classes to be offered at San Jacinto College
HOUSTON – The Continuing & Professional Development (CPD) division of San Jacinto College will offer classes for those interested in acquiring a photography technician certificate. Beginning in May, classes will be offered at the South campus, located at 13735 Beamer Road.
“If you are interested in seeking an entry-level career as a photographer, sign up for the introductory class and work toward getting your photography technician certificate,” said David Lewis, Director of Business and Professions at San Jacinto College. “Take the class and explore how to master your camera in the shortest time possible, and see how to improve your photos with every single shot you take.”
The fee for the introductory professional photography class is $250. The class schedule is as follows: May 5-21, 2008 Monday and Wednesday nights 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. June 10-26, 2008 Tuesday and Thursday nights 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Upon completion of the class, students may then opt to take additional classes to obtain a certificate in intermediate professional photography, portrait photography, Photoshop I or Photoshop II.
The CPD division of San Jacinto College offers programs and courses for individuals to retain or advance in their jobs, or make career transitions. The division provides training to companies and their employees to meet employers’ demands for a highly skilled workforce, while helping incumbent workers reach their potential.
