Free Alternative Teacher Certification information session to be held at San Jacinto College

PASADENA, Texas – The Continuing and Professional Development (CPD) division of San Jacinto College is offering a free information session about the Alternative Teacher Certification program, which provides the opportunity to become a certified teacher in the state of Texas.

“If you hold a bachelor’s degree, and would like to find out how to become a certified teacher, plan to attend,” said David Lewis, CPD director of business and professions. “Don’t be afraid to follow your passion if you’ve always wanted to be a teacher. It’s time to take action.”

Two information sessions will be held on the San Jacinto College North campus, located at 5800 Uvalde in Houston. The first is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10 and the second on Tuesday, April 14. Both sessions will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Chablis Restaurant located in the Slovacek Student Center.
