Valentine’s Day fashion show to raise funds for San Jacinto College students

PASADENA, Texas – The San Jacinto College Foundation will host “Red Hot and Fancy,” an event where guests can enjoy fashions, fine dining, and entertainment on Valentine’s Day in an elegant social setting.

The theme for the fundraiser is “Open your heart to the one you love and the community you support.” Proceeds from the event will go to provide student scholarships and other educational resources for San Jacinto College.

Red Hot and Fancy is black tie optional, and will be held at Cullen’s Restaurant, 11500 Space Center Blvd. on Feb. 14, beginning with hors d’oeuvres and champagne at 6 p.m.

The entertainment, which will begin at 6:30 p.m., will showcase fashions from The Clothes Horse, Joseph A. Banks, Adelaide, Dillard’s Baybrook, and ShoppeGirl.com. Betsy Salbilla, owner of ShoppeGirl, is the fashion show producer and will serve as the fashion show coordinator.

An elegant three-course dinner will be served at 7 p.m.

Jackie Powell and Liz Webb will serve as event co-chairs. Powell serves as a San Jacinto College Foundation director, and Webb is the wife of Wayne Webb, who is chairman of the Foundation’s board of directors.

An auction will include valuable gifts, such as dinner for four at Bailey’s American Grill, four tickets to the Jonas Brothers’ concert at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 8, and a three-night stay at Treasure Island in Las Vegas.

For information about admission cost, available sponsorship options, and other details, please call the San Jacinto College Foundation office at 281-998-6104, or send an e-mail to Nancy.Thacker@sjcd.edu.
