Truck driver recruitment on a roll as more companies look to hire trained graduates

Jaime Gomez of Pasadena hopes to pick up a truck driving job in the coming weeks as companies actively recruit due to an increase in production following the downfall of the economy. "I heard through friends that the industry is really picking up and thought I'd change careers to work in truck driving," said Gomez, who recently enrolled in the San Jacinto College commercial truck driving program. "I'll start looking for work in about three weeks."
