San Jacinto College offers an introductory course in maritime

San Jacinto College (SJC) will offer an Introduction to Ships and Shipping course beginning in the Fall 2010 semester. The course is designed to give students a head start in maritime administration.

As part of an articulation agreement with Texas A&M University at Galveston, SJC students may complete the course at the South campus as part of their associate degree in business administration, then transfer to Texas A&M for a Bachelor of Science in Maritime Administration. The MARA 2401 course at the College is the equivalent of the university's MARA 205 course.
