North campus marks opening of new child care center

The College recently hosted an open house and ribbon cutting to mark the opening of the North campus’ new Charles Ray Ogden Children and Family Education Center-Lab School building. The open house featured guided tours, multi-media presentations, live music, and light refreshments. The new 9,669-square-feet facility is located on the north side of the North campus, at 5800 Uvalde Road in the North Channel area. The new child care-lab school replaces an older and smaller facility that will be razed to make room for a new science and allied health building. New child care centers at the North and Central campuses are part of the final phase of a bond issue approved in 1999.
