Summer Chamber Music Camps on the Central Campus are an opportunity for young musicians ages 12-21 to improve their musical and artistic skills in a fun and challenging small group setting, while working directly with OMNI BRASS, a premier professional chamber group based in the Houston area, and SJCC music faculty. To learn more about Omni and their summer camp programs, visit their website at http://www.omnibrass.org.
Campers perform in a variety of ensembles, including a large brass choir, mixed chamber groups, and like-instrument choirs, and participate in daily warm-ups, master classes, and mini-recitals. Summer camps are a great time to prepare for UIL Solo and Ensemble!
The week will conclude with a finale concert featuring a camp Brass Choir, student ensembles, and a special performance by Omni Brass. Family and friends are invited to attend!
Camp fees include an Omni Brass t-shirt, all music and supplies, and a Friday evening pre-concert pizza party.
We strive to make our camps accessible and we offer financial assistance for qualified students. Please email Dr. Karen Marston at email@example.com for more information.
