Transfer to Texas A&M University
San Jacinto College participates in Texas A&M University’s Transfer Articulation Program (TAP). The program includes articulation agreements to more than 50 undergraduate academic programs at Texas A&M.
Students may qualify for automatic admission to Texas A&M as a transfer student by:
- completing one of the approved degree plans, and
- completing at least 24 credits in transferable classes since high school graduation, at the time of application (transferable classes must satisfy the chosen Texas A&M degree plan or the Texas A&M core curriculum, and
- maintaining a minimum 3.0 cumulative 3.0 GPA and a minimum 3.0 GPA for all courses listed in the chosen degree plan, and
- meeting all other general transfer admission requirements for admission to Texas A&M University.
Students transferring to Texas A&M prior to graduation from San Jac may still earn an Associate’s Degree from San Jac by completing courses at Texas A&M. Students only need to provide written permission to Texas A&M to allow the University to report their academic record to San Jac; once all required coursework is completed, students will be awarded an Associate’s degree by San Jacinto College (Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or Associate of Arts in Teaching).
