Transfer to University of Texas Brownsville and Texas Southmost College
San Jacinto College students earning an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) or an Associate of Arts (A.A.) or an Associate of Science (A.S.) may transfer to University of Texas Brownsville and Texas Southmost College (UTB/TSC) to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
San Jac students earning an A.A. or A.S. may transfer all credits up to 66 semester hours to be applied to a UTB/TSC baccalaureate degree plan. Students must have earned a C or better in ENGL 1301, ENGL 1302, and MATH 1314 for credit in those courses to transfer.
San Jac students completing an A.A.S. may transfer up to 37 semester hours of technical/occupational courses in approved A.A.S. degrees and up to 48 semester credit hours of general education core curriculum to be applied to the Bachelor of Applied Technology or Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences at UTB/TSC.
Students transferring to UTB/TSC must apply for admission and meet university and program admission requirements and are required to finalize an official degree plan before the end of their second semester at UTB/TSC.
