Certified Occupational Safety Specialist

The Certified Occupational Safety Specialist Program (COSS) is a unique, curriculum-based training course that was conceived by safety professionals and is recognized nationwide for its rigorous standards and outstanding curriculum. Since 2002, the COSS Program has been one of the top-ranked safety designations of its kind, and has received formal recognition from the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), the American Petroleum Institute (API), and the American Association of Safety Councils (AASC).

COSS is designed to be an in-depth set of learning modules that equip workers with the core competencies of occupational safety and health for the Chemical, Construction, Energy, Engineering, Fire, Food, Government, Human Resources, Health, Medical, Municipal, Oil and Gas, Security, Shipyard, Transportation and Utility fields. COSS instructors are experts in the field of safety and work closely with each training provider presenting COSS classes in an effort to “Keep you and your family safe”. COSS instructors are Authorized OSHA Outreach Training Providers in construction and general industry.
