Students donate 200 pairs of eyeglasses for Operación San Andrés

PASADENA, Texas — Students in the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program at San Jacinto College (SJC) Central recently donated 200 pairs of eyeglasses for the residents of Collique, Peru.

As part of the Operación San Andrés (OSA) organization, the students collected the glasses and presented the donation to Debra Clarke, the College's eye care technology program director who also leads the service learning project for her students. The mission of OSA is to provide holistic aid to the indigent and underserved people of Collique.
