
Quiñones, Elliott receive Student of the Year honors

HOUSTON — San Jacinto College (SJC) South Campus students Ivan Quiñones and Courtney Elliott received awards for the South Campus Outstanding Student of the Year at the annual South Campus Student Awards Ceremony. Quiñones serves as president and Elliot as vice president of the Alpha Gamma Zeta Chapter of the international community college honor society, Phi Theta Kappa (PTK). Quiñones also received the South Campus PTK Officer of the Year. Elliott earned the South Campus Best English Paper Award, and South Campus Phi Beta Lambda Student of the Year. In the Fall, Quiñones will attend the University of Houston and Elliott will attend Texas A&M University.
