Campus Services
at San Jacinto College Central

Campus Services serves both the campus community and the community at large. As San Jacinto Central evolves and grows, Campus Services’ goal is to seek new and innovative ways to meet and anticipate the needs of a complex college community as well as those of area organizations, corporations, and communities. The Campus Services offices are located at San Jacinto’s Central Campus, 8060 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX, 77505, in the McCollum Administration Building Room C-3.124.

Facility Rentals – Community, Corporate, Organizations and Individuals

San Jacinto Central has a wide variety of meeting and classroom spaces, auditoriums, theaters and recital halls, a large ballroom, athletic fields and facilities, parking areas, and additional open spaces that are used to serve community organizations, corporations, individuals, and large community events such as the Pasadena Strawberry Festival and Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo. Community events, corporate meetings, conferences, and individual events such as weddings, parties, and reunions can be accommodated. Onsite catering is also available through San Jacinto’s Food Services department.

Evening and Weekend College

San Jacinto Central offers Evening classes and Weekend College classes for those students whose life and work schedules require alternative class scheduling and programs. Campus Services initiates and coordinates the offering of these types of programs and classes both on the Central Campus and at external sites in the Houston area.

University Center for Senior Higher Education Institutions

Campus Services is helping San Jacinto College expand the P-16 Pipeline to benefit students and to increase college completion rates in Texas. We offer specialized hosting agreements and facility rental services to senior universities and colleges that enables them to teach upper division classes for baccalaureate and graduate degrees on site at the San Jacinto Central Campus. Campus Services helps connect the dots for our students’ access to and success in the higher education continuum.

Adjunct Faculty Hiring and Credentialing

New and returning adjunct faculty members receive offers of employment from their specific academic or technical departments at San Jacinto. At that point, Campus Services receives notification of who is being hired and for what term, and then works with the adjunct faculty to process their transcripts, payroll information, and final credentialing review. Adjunct faculty file copies are housed in Campus Services – the originals reside in Human Resources at San Jacinto’s District Office.

Access Requests – Campus Community

Staff and faculty requests for access to buildings, classrooms and other spaces on Central Campus with keys and/or proximity cards must first be reviewed and approved through Campus Services. No keys or access cards will be distributed or modified without being processed through Campus Services first. This is significant in maintaining campus security.

Vehicle Requests

Staff and faculty requests for San Jacinto Central vehicles (business purposes only) are coordinated through Campus Services. The driver of the vehicle must be on San Jacinto’s approved driver list prior to a request submission.

Central Campus Calendar

Campus Services coordinates and produces the Central Campus Calendar, currently being distributed via email. The weekly calendar includes both instructional and non-instructional events taking place on campus. Campus Services also manages the distribution of event notifications to the Central campus digital signage system (coming soon!).

Vending Machines

Vending machines are located throughout the Central Campus. Problems with machines and requests for refunds for money lost in machines should be directed to Campus Services.

Lost and Found

Frequently lost items are turned in to Campus Services. We are not the official Lost and Found, but we will assist individuals who are looking for items or turning items in. We typically hold lost items for a short period then deliver unclaimed items to the Student Life office (the official Lost and Found) in C-14.102A (no later than the following business day).

Room and Space Requests – Campus Community

Campus Services coordinates internal room and space reservation requests and bookings from San Jacinto staff, faculty and students for the purpose of conducting college business meetings, program-sponsored events, and for sanctioned student organizations.

First Aid Station

Campus Services provides free first aid supplies to individuals who require them, and in the event of an emergency, can assist by contacting the San Jacinto College Police Department.
