Softball to hold open tryouts for 2013 team

HOUSTON – The San Jacinto College softball team has rescheduled open tryouts for the 2013 team on Thursday, July 26, 0212 (previously Wednesday, July 18) due to weather.

Tryouts will take place at the softball field located on the San Jacinto College South Campus at 13735 Beamer Road in Houston. Pitchers and catchers should report from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., and position players from 2:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Participants are required to complete a questionnaire and insurance waiver. Reservations should be made through Head Coach Kelly Saenz via email at kelly.saenz@sjcd.edu prior to attending.

San Jac finished the 2012 regular season with a 42-11 overall record, 19-5 in conference play. It was the fourth 40-win season for San Jac under Saenz, who also recorded her 300^th win this season.
