San Jacinto College sneak peek at Premier Day
Andrea Vasquez-- August 29, 2012
HOUSTON –The San Jacinto College South Campus first year experience office and the office of student life hosted Premier Day on August 24. Premier Day serves as a way to give new students a chance to get a feel for the campus before the first day of classes, with a more fun and social-oriented feel than mandatory orientation. Activities for the day included a welcome from San Jacinto College Vice Chancellor for Learning and Student Success and Interim South Campus President, Dr. Laurel Williamson; keynote address from Ron Klinger, University of Houston-Clear Lake associate director of organizational development; team building activities; faculty roundtable discussions; a student panel question and answer session; and a campus scavenger hunt that took the students through various buildings with tasks involving student services the College provides.
