Meet Cody!

He's our mascot...
Date of Birth: October 2010
The coyote has been the mascot of SJCS since 1979. In 2010 there was a student vote on what to call their mascot. Cody came to join the San Jacinto College South community in October of 2010 to support the athletic teams and grow school spirit.
Cody is bright blue with hints of grey – and always has a big smile on his face. His jersey number is 50 commemorating the first year he joined in celebrating SJC’s 50th anniversary. He enjoys cheering on the women’s softball team and the men’s soccer team and can also be found at a variety of Student Life events. Cody also enjoys waving to his fans during the annual 4th of July parade that takes place in the South Belt region. Cody has also participated in a number of events at area elementary, middle and high schools.
Cody can be reached through the Student Life office, but he is rather shy, so when you do see him – feel free to take some pictures, and often times he is sleeping in his den.
