Kids to learn about craft trades at San Jacinto College summer camp

PASADENA, Texas – San Jacinto College will host a camp for kids, ages 12 to 16, designed to jumpstart their interest in craft trades like construction and non-destructive testing.
Kids Under Construction will allow participants to construct a playhouse using techniques from industry experts and safety rules and regulations by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Guest speakers will also stop by to talk about the various areas of craft trades.
Dates and locations include 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., June 17 to 20, at the Central Campus, located at 8060 Spencer Highway in Pasadena; and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Aug. 5 to 8, at the North Campus, located at 5800 Uvalde Road in Houston. Cost for the camp is $50.
