The San Jacinto College Police Department wants to welcome all returning students and a special welcome to students who are attending our college for the first time. We want you to know that we are here to help you in any way we can. We want you to be successful in you endeavors. There are Police Officers available to help you 7 days a week , 24 hours a day. Our goal is to provide the students and employees of San Jacinto College top quality law enforcement service. Safety on the campuses is a joint responsibility of students, employees, and the Police, so with that said we welcome all questions, suggestions and reports of any activities that do not appear to be safe or conducive to a positive learning experience. We would also like to remind students that there will be some areas of the campuses that are not accessible to be used for parking due to the ongoing construction. Please do not park in the Fire Zones, Handicap parking areas, or staff parking. During the first week of classes the Police Department will issue WARNING NOTICES . The second week of school actual citations will be issued so please refrain from parking in areas that are not for student parking. |
The Campus Police Department has primary responsibility for crime prevention, law enforcement, parking and traffic control, emergency response and policing of special events.
Campus Police serve and protect the College community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Sworn Police personnel have the same authority as municipal police officers and county sheriffs, are authorized to carry firearms and empowered to make arrests.
All Campus Police officers are trained in CPR, the use of defibrillators, and first aid. Likewise, all primary patrol vehicles are equipped with first aid equipment and a defibrillator.
