Department Chair - South Campus Professor Cheryl Fasullo Dr. Fasullo earned her Ed.D. in Education from University of Houston in 1998, and M.S.W. from Out Lady of the Lake University in 1985 and an M.A.in Sociology from University of Houston in 1999. She has conducted research on nontraditional-age community college students. The focus of her research has been on the factors that contribute to the retention of nontraditional-age community college students. Dr. Fasullo serves on the University of Houston Bachelor Social Work Program Advisory Board, Louisiana State University Arts and Sciences Advisory Board and is a Theater Lab of Houston board member. Dr. Fasullo graduated from LSU in 1976. Dr. Fasullo has been teaching at San Jacinto College since 1994 and is the Department Chair of Behavioral Sciences and Education. |

Professor Pamela Maack Pamela.Maack@sjcd.edu 281.484.1900 Ext. 3342 Office: 1110 Pamela A. Maack, earned her Ph.D. in Anthropology from Northwestern University in 1992. She has conducted research in the east African nation of Tanzania on three separate occasions. Her research has focused on the history of the Waluguru people. Most recently, she has worked as a consultant for USAID and the International Red Cross on the effects of AIDS/HIV infection on families and children in Tanzania. As an undergraduate at the University of Virginia, she took 60 semester hours in anthropology-approximately half in the sub-field of cultural anthropology and half in the sub-field of archaeology. She has been on numerous archaeological digs and wrote a senior honors thesis on the trade relations of the prehistoric pueblo peoples of the American Southwest. She graduated from the university with departmental honors. Ms. Maack has been teaching at San Jacinto College since 1992. |

Professor Steven Pena Steven.Pena@sjcd.edu 281-476-1501 Ext. 1419 Office: CADM W116C Professor Steven Pena started at SJCC in 2002. He has authored two journal articles – “Belief Limitations In The Normative and Natural Sciences” and “Homo Dramaticus”. He is also the author the book, “Homo Logicus: Introduction, Inquiry and Reflection in the Art of Right Reasoning” which will be available in the Fall of 2004. Professor Pena is a member of the Semiotic Association of America, Dictionary Society of North America, International Association of Semiotics and the Bertrand Russell Society. He has a B.A., Goddard College and M.A., University of Houston. |

Professor Randall Horton Randall.Horton@sjcd.edu 281.484.1900 Ext. 3556 Office: 1105N Professor Randall Horton joined SJCS in 2002. He completed a Master’s Degree in humanities at the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 1982. Since then, he has completed 21 hours in philosophy at the University of Houston. His primary philosophical interests are theories of knowledge, consciousness, and ethics. All these interests converge with the question of where and how ethical impulses arise. Mr. Horton also holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Sam Houston State University. |

Professor Wayne Hall B.A. Park College Dr. Wayne Hall has been with SJC since 1989. Dr. Hall retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of Major. He is a former Department Chair and developed the first Internet course for SJC. He has served on several District committees, including the committee for Distance Learning where he assisted in writing the policies. He is currently a member of the American Psychological Society, Texas Association for Educational Technology and Texas Community College Teachers Association. Dr. Hall is the author of the "Instructor's Resource Manual to Accompany Hockenbury & Hockenbury's Psychology" and "Child-Saving in Early America". |

Professor Lilian Romero B.A. University of Maryland Professor Lilian Romero has been at SJCC since 1990. She has participated in several Psychology conferences all around the world, including the Middle East and Cuba. She has also worked at a mentor for the Pasadena Independent School District HOSTS Program. |

Professor Phyllis Rundhaug A.A. University of Maryland Professor Phyllis Rundhaug has been with SJCC since 1987. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Professional Counselor. She is also a founding Board Member for VISIONS (Volunteers Insuring Success In Our Neighborhood Schools). |

Professor Marylou Robins B.S. Western Michigan University Dr. Marylou Robins has been with SJC since 1979 as a professor of psychology and is a former Department Chair. She developed and served as Directed of the first Weekend College and initiated and taught the first Fast Track class on South Campus. She was "Student Nominated Most Outstanding Professor Winner" and Teaching Excellence Award by Phi Theta Kappa for the 2003 - 2004 school year. |

Professor James Francis B.A. University Of Miami Dr. James Francis has been with SJC since 1989. He has served on several committees and he has help develop a number of Distance Learning Courses. He is currently a member of the American Psychological Society and has published over 21 scientific articles for several journals. He, also has been a contributing editor to several journal and publishers. Dr. Francis is the adviser to the local chapter of the Psi Beta - a National Honor Society for Psychology Students. |

Professor A. Clare Zaborowski B.S. University of Houston - Clear Lake A. Clare Zaborowski has been teaching at SJC since 1998 and has taught full-time at South campus since 2001. Prof. Zaborowski has taught General Psychology, Lifespan Growth & Development, Social Psychology and Statistics. She teaches online courses and honors courses. She has been involved in the development of on-line courses, teaching dual-credit courses, supplemental instruction, Start Trek, the South Campus Discipline Committee, and is co-chair of The Coyote Connection Mentor Program. |

Professor Gaylynn Scurry Gaylynn.Scurry@sjcd.edu 281.484.1900 Ext. 3506 Office: 1109 Gaylynn M. Scurry is a Professor of Sociology at San Jacinto College South Campus. She holds degrees from Lamar University (B.S.), Texas Southern University (M.Ed.), and Prairie View A & M University (M.A.). She teaches sociology courses in Introduction to Sociology, Marriage & Family, Multi-Cultural Studies, and Education. She is the recipient of the Honors Program Professor of the year 2003-2004. |
