Biology for Allied Health/Pre-Professional Programs

Allied Health Programs
Allied health programs support the medical profession in the diagnosis, care and treatment of sick and disabled individuals. These professional programs often require two years or more of freshman/sophmore undergraduate work prior to admission into such programs as occupational therapy, physical therapy and physician's assistant.

Pre-Professional Programs
Pre-professional programs of study are offered for preparation for entry into colleges of medicine, dentistry, chiropractic and baccalaureate degree nursing. Members of the Division of Mathematics, Science and Kinesiology are available to serve as a pre-professional committee in order to make recommendations for applicants to professional colleges.

Because undergraduate course requirements vary, course selection should be made after consultation with a counselor.
