Find a Program That Fits Your Needs
We offer three paths for students interested in our Career and Technical Education area of study:
- For students wishing to transfer to an upper-level institution, San Jacinto College offers courses that lay a foundation for either a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) at a four-year university.
- Our Technical Degrees & Certificates path sets you up for an entry-level job within six months to two years depending on the program. With our one-year Certificate of Technology, you get the training you need to enter into a wide variety of high-demand professions such as vocational nursing, cosmetology, pharmacy tech and auto body repair. We also offer an Occupational Certificate, awarded upon completion of a technical program consisting of one or two semesters of training for students who wish to enter certain professions immediately, such as welding, real estate, electrical technology, nail tech and IT.
- For those looking to prepare for a career, upgrade current job-related skills or learn a new skill, San Jacinto College’s Continuing and Professional Development Career and Technical Education division offers courses and programs for a number of today’s technical professions taught by instructors who are passionate experts in their fields. CPD courses in this division include programs in applied technologies, health occupations, and maritime for aspiring professional mariners.
