Registration Information

Step 1: Counseling office – Fill out certificate only waiver through the counseling office and schedule a date & time for Compass test (all new students without prior college credit must take a placement exam). Counseling office phone number is: 281.476.1813.

Step 2: Admissions office – Fill out application to enroll in the college. You have the option of picking up a paper copy application or applying through the San Jacinto College website. Go to http://www.sjcd.edu/ website and in the upper left corner go to “APPLY NOW”. Have a copy of high school transcript or college transcript sent to the college. Bring proof of Texas residence status (for at least one year), social security number, pencil and ballpoint pen, and automobile license number.

Step 3: Financial Aid office – Pick up financial aid application/papers, if applicable. You should also visit the following government website http://www.fafsa.gov/ .

Step 4: Registration – Check San Jacinto College Schedule of Classes or see below to verify next registration dates. We offer day and evening classes during the Fall, Spring, & Summer semesters. Please contact the Cosmetology Department to discuss the classes you wish to enroll at 281.476.1818.

    Cosmetology Standardized Dress

    SLACKS:

    Must be solid black only
    Must be professionally hemmed
    Ankle length slacks only, NO capri pants, shorts, or pants that drag the floor
    Must fit appropriately for a professional look
    NO JEANS (except on Friday’s as a fund raiser)

    SKIRTS/DRESSES:

    Must be solid black only 
    Must be professionally hemmed
    Length may be no shorter than 2” above kneecap (from the shortest part if a handkerchief hem)
    Must fit appropriately for a professional look

    SHIRTS/BLOUSES:

    Must be black, grey, white, or a combination of
    Must be clean, pressed and neat
    Must fit appropriately for a professional look
    NO: appliqué or writing. 

    SHOES:

    *Must be solid black closed-toe comfortable shoes

    LAB JACKETS:

    Solid Black only
    ¾ length lab jacket with sleeves is required. Must be worn daily Must be completely closed at all times

    SWEATERS OR JACKETS:

    Must conform to designated color scheme. (See Shirts/Blouses)
    May be worn for warmth in cold lab, with instructor approval.
