Cosmetology Operator
The Cosmetology Operator curriculum is designed to provide the student with basic preparation requirements to pass the Texas Cosmetology Commission Examination for licensing and entry-level employment in professional salons. Emphasis is placed on the application of all learned skills and theoretical knowledge in a simulated salon. All aspects of the beauty profession are presented.

The Cosmetology Operator Certificate of Technology is a course of study designed to meet the needs of those students who desire to enter the beauty industry in a minimum of time. The program will provide the student with the technical background and experience necessary to develop the skills and theoretical knowledge required to pass the Texas Cosmetology Commission Examination for licensing and entry-level employment in professional salons. Full-time students can complete the Certificate of Technology in one year. All aspects of the cosmetology profession are presented.

Dual Credit
The Cosmetology High School Operator Dual Credit Certificate of Technology is a course of study designed to meet the needs of high school students who desire to enter the beauty industry in a minimum of time. The program will provide the student with the technical background and experience necessary to develop the skills and theoretical knowledge required to pass the Texas Cosmetology Commission Examination for licensing and entry-level employment in professional salons. Part-time students can complete the Certificate of Technology in two years. All aspects of the cosmetology profession are presented.

Cosmetology Instructor
This program is designed to provide classroom management and instructional training for licensed cosmetologists, manicurists, or facialists who already possess skills in their respective fields. This program will train students for professional positions as cosmetology instructors in the private and public sectors of education.

The student instructor must be 18 years of age and have a valid Texas Cosmetology Commission License, as well as provide a high school diploma or GED equivalent, before enrolling in the cosmetology instructor courses listed below. Two years work experience is preferred.

The Cosmetology Instructor Certificate of Technology program is designed to meet the needs of those students who desire to enter the world of education in a minimum of time. This program will provide the student with the training necessary to provide proper instruction in all classroom situations. Emphasis will be directed towards classroom management, curriculum development, evaluation methods, and the use of media in the classroom.

Before registering for the cosmetology instructor courses listed below, the student instructor must first have a valid Texas Cosmetology Commission License, as well as provide a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Two years work experience is preferred.

Occupational Certificates
The Facial Occupational Certificate program is designed to prepare the student with the skill and knowledge required for an entry-level position in the facial/esthetics profession. After completion of CSME 1421, CSME 1520, CSME 1545, and CSME 2431, the student is eligible to take the Texas Cosmetology Commission Facial/Esthetics Specialty examination, provided the 600 clock hour requirement has been met.

The Nail Technician Occupational Certificate program is designed to provide the student with the basic skills and knowledge required to pass the Texas Cosmetology Commission Examination for licensing and entry-level employment in a professional salon. Emphasis is directed toward the application of all learned skills and theoretical knowledge in a simulated salon. All aspects of the nail profession are presented.

The Hair Weaving and Braiding Certificate program is designed to prepare the student with the skill and knowledge required for performing services in hair weaving and braiding. After completion of CSME 1471, CSME 1472, CSME 1473, and CSME 1474 the student is eligible to take the Texas Cosmetology Commission Hair Weaving and Braiding Specialty examination provided the 300-clock hour requirement has been met.
