Introduction - Foreign Language
Beginning courses in Spanish and French provide students with vocabulary, basic grammar, and experience in conversational settings. Intermediate courses offer students opportunities to learn advanced grammar, to develop speaking, listening and writing skills, and to appreciate the culture and history of the peoples whose languages are studied. Students enjoy multi-media, hands-on, and computer-assisted learning activities in their foreign language classes.

Teaching Goals

Fluency
We focus on helping students become fluent in the vocabulary they need to express themselves, use information to expand their horizons, and become confident about their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.

Cultural Perspective
When learning a foreign language it is equally important to understand the differences and similarities in social norms, etiquette, and cultural attitudes that may impact us in our daily interactions.
