How to access helpful information on the new Website...
San Jacinto Website from San Jacinto on Vimeo.
As you may have noticed, San Jacinto College has launched a new Website! Many of you have inquired as to how to access the links for BlackBoard, S.O.S., and San Jac e-mail. These can be easily accessed by clicking on the MySanJac link at the top of the home page. This will open up a window that contains these links as well as several other helpful links.
As with any new Web site launch, we are still updating content and developing pages, so we ask for your patience as we work through this process. Areas still being developed include:
• Which campus is displayed for each program - In most cases this is correct; however, we are going through each program to ensure the information is correct.
• The calendar - this is working, but we understand that there is some missing content, and we are working to fill in the details.
There are several new features on the Website which include:
- Course finder
- Financial aid video
- Scheduling assistant
- Campus maps on Google
- Help Desk for FAQs
- New calendar
- San Jac TV
- Virtual desktop for all students and staff
- New navigation for programs – by areas of study and in alphabetical order
- New area for students to view “The Basics”
- New web application
Please know that it is normal to experience some minor technical issues that have not been discovered through the launch. Issues we may experience include slow performance, browser format compatibility, data and content quality, and links not working. As with any new system, it will take time for the new website to settle in. We will continue to add and correct content as you provide feedback. We've provided a link on the bottom of each Web page in the footer titled “Submit Feedback.” If you are looking at a page and find content problems, broken links, etc., please use that link to submit your feedback so we can fix the problem. Thank you for your patience as we continue to update the Website to meet our College's needs. This has been a great process and we are thankful to all of you who have given input and provided feedback along the way.
