Procedure 6-10-a: Class Field Trips

Instructors planning to take their classes on field trips follow these procedures:

  1. Fill out a Request for School Sponsored Travel, which may be obtained from the Student Services Office.
  2. Submit the completed form to the department chairman for approval to make the requested trip. (It is the responsibility of each department chairman to determine if the trip is related to instruction.)
  3. Submit the completed form to the appropriate campus office, the Student Services Office or the vice president of instruction for final approval at least one week prior to making the trip.
  4. If a college vehicle is used, the instructor also follows directions provided by the appropriate campus office, as indicated by the campus president.
