San Jacinto College frequently conducts surveys to gather feedback from students, employees and community members regarding college services. The college uses a single institutional survey system for the majority of college surveys including the End of Course Survey (EOCS) through which students provide feedback regarding the quality of instruction offered through college courses. The survey system is a web-based survey tool that allows users to access surveys and to provide feedback via most internet browsers including many mobile devices.

San Jacinto College adheres to strict standards for moral and ethical research. Survey data collected generally are used to support continuous improvement efforts across all areas of the college; any other collection and use of data within the college must be reviewed and approved by the Institutional Review Board. The Department of Institutional Research & Data Science should be notified of any research to be conducted within the college or as part of college operations.
