Eligibility Survey

Requirements

  • Texas residents eligible for in-state tuition
  • Have filed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you have not done this yet, there is still time!
  • Have a financial need and are eligible for federal Title IV aid
  • A student need not be prior enrolled or hold postsecondary credit to be eligible for Reskilling grant program support (as of 3/9/2022).
    •  The six-month or one long semester gap requirement applies to everyone receiving Reskilling support, including relatively recent high school graduates.
    • Please keep in mind that “newly enrolled” is not synonymous with “first-time undergraduate,” a designation regarding high school-to-college direct enrollment following high school graduation
    • Program support is not available to students who are not high school graduates or who are direct to college enrollees, as the purpose of this grant is to address the urgent needs of those students impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
  • Students who are enrolled in short-term non-eligible Title IV workforce credential programs but who are otherwise Title IV eligible may be included
    • Students also must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) to receive financial aid
      • If a student is not making SAP, they can contact the Financial Aid department to inquire about the appeal process.
      • If the SAP appeal is approved, the student can be re-evaluated for this grant.
      • If the SAP appeal is denied, the student is ineligible to receive financial aid, as well as this grant.
  • Have affirmed you were affected by COVID-19
  • Be enrolled in one of the approved Finish Line programs on a full time or part-time basis
  • Apply by Sept. 1, 2022!
