The College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP) offers students the opportunity to receive college credit for what they already know. Earn qualifying scores on any of the 33 introductory-level college subject examinations and accelerate your education. Most exams are timed at 90-minutes except for the College Composition exam (2 hours). The cost of each CLEP exam is $87 each and there is also a $20 administrative fee (non-refundable) assessed for each test date. There is a $10 fee for all test takers that are taking an optional essay. If you are taking an optional essay for San Jacinto College, you must pass the multiple choice portion of the test with a grade of "50" or higher. You can see which CLEP tests San Jacinto College accepts for credit in the college catalog. An unofficial score score will be available immediately upon test completion except for all optional essays and College Composition.
