High School Equivalency Exams

During altered operations, the Testing Centers at South, North and Central campuses are closed and have cancelled all scheduled tests. Expect an email from GED and/or HiSET advising you on your next steps. You can also receive updates about GED here or HiSET here.

San Jacinto College Testing Centers offer testing for students to attain a certificate of high school equivalency for the state of Texas. The two high school equivalency exams are the Pearson General Educational Development (GED) and the ETS High School Equivalency Test (HiSET). Each exam is available in English and Spanish.

San Jac offers free prep sessions in partnership with Workforce Solutions. These sessions are approximately 4 hours long and of limited availability. For dates and times you can view this flyer.

San Jac also offers prep courses if you need more intense preparation before you test. For more information regarding the prep sessions please contact Continuing & Professional Development. 

You will need to schedule through each exam's website at least 24 hours prior to your preferred appointment time in order to test. You can check availability and schedule an appointment to test using the links below:
