HESI Tests

San Jacinto College (SJC) uses the Health Education Systems Incorporated (HESI) exams as a measure to evaluate student applications to one of the several nursing programs and the radiography program offered by the college. The Testing Centers assist with proctoring per the needs of the programs local to their campus.

Before testing, be sure to verify the requirements of the particular program(s) to which you intend to apply. The Testing Center at each campus has processes in place in collaboration with the programs unique to the campus.

ADN Program: Offered at Central and North

ADN Transition Program: Offered at South

LVN Program: Offered at North and South

Radiography Program: Offered at Central

All HESI testing offered is intended solely for SJC students. Please consult with your college or institution if you need to test to learn what requirements, availability and accommodations they can provide.

This exam consists of Critical Thinking, Reading Comprehension, Math, Grammar, Vocabulary and Anatomy & Physiology sections. The test also includes Learning Styles and Personality Profile sections. You will have 4 ½ hours to complete the exam.

You may also retest in any or all subjects but should first consult with the program(s) to which you intend to apply to determine their requirements and needs.
