WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT SAN JACINTO COLLEGE?

- I can't think of better words to describe the vibe of San Jac than those told to me from the director of educational planning, counseling and completion here at the college: "we know how to work had AND play hard." Dogged work ethic and a holistic perspective on education both spread like wild fire around here to bring success and joy to everyone who chooses to be part of this community.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR FUTURE STUDENTS?

- You are not cooler than your college professors. Say hello before class begins, say goodbye before you leave, and visit their offices with questions. They're the reason you're learning, and you're the reason they come to work.

- Force yourself to love the last 2% of every project. That's when the magic happens. Persevere when everyone else is ready to call it quits.

- Your decisions today define your tomorrow.
